About me

From a teen-aged boy winning a first-place award – using a vintage Kodak World's Fair camera – to an experienced visual journalist – now using both still and video cameras – the excitement has never diminished. As a visual journalist at USA Today, I am privileged to see many great images being produced daily by friends and colleagues like Matt Mendelsohn, H . Darr Beiser, Jack Gruber and M. Spencer Green, now at the AP. Their creative work inspires me to envision the best images I can produce – because photography is more than an avocation. Capturing even the slightest, apparently insignificant moment at once becomes an indelible record of life and the human condition. Hopefully some of these images will endure the test of time for future generations to enjoy.
